DuPage
DuPage county takes it’s name from the DuPage River. DuPage was established as a separate county from Cook County in 1839 with the original county seat being in Naperville. As the result of a midnight raid by a group of Civil War Veterans from Wheaton, the seat was moved to Wheaton. Throughout it’s history, DuPage’s growth has always been tied to it’s access to Chicago. With well-established express and Metra train lines, commuters can easily access Chicago and it’s surrounding suburbs. Today, DuPage county is known as one of the wealthiest counties in the US and it has some of the best school districts in the nation.
